Water Systems Safety - Controlling the risks to health from Legionellosis (Legionaires Disease)

Legislative requirements for the control of legionellosis put the responsibility for compliance clearly with the owner/operator of the water systems.

An employer’s duty of care under health and safety law includes artificial water systems, including hot and cold water systems. These should be properly designed and installed and adequately maintained and monitored to ensure compliance with the law.
